it was really odd

finnialy he stood up and moved off his bed

then he let us pet him and stuff

he seems very weak.

also he starts to mildly shake.

he has a history of slight asma attacks and anxiety attacks but nothing was destroyed no mess, no vomit, anything

he continues to lay down

hes eaten some tuna ( his favorite treat) and has stood up and walked briefly but is very slow and looks uncomfertable.

no physical signs of pain.

i told my parents we should take him to the vet but they rufeuse bc its closed and dont wanna drive 30 min to the pet emergency hospital

  1. Be polite, but ask your parents if you were acting like that, would they not get you to a hospital?

He needs to go, NOW, or you could lose him.  I'm sorry to say, you could anyway - he sounds very sick.

It's hard to say what is wrong with him, but something certainly is, and it is the responsibility of anyone who owns a dog to care for them humanely - even if they chose not to treat him, and have him put down so he is not sufferiing, at least go do that - it is horrible to just pretend that  nothing is wrong - this dog is not going to get better on his own.

Any emergency clinic will charge you a hundred bucks or so just to have the dog seen, but after that they can at least tell you how bad it is - and let him stop suffering.  There are also grants you can get to cover the bills sometimes, if there is no money to care for him.

But to not do anything, and just let him be sick like that is very sad, and I'm very sorry your parents are doing that.  Go fight for him, and see if you can't get them to take him - I know it's hard to be a kid and have parents make decisions you cannot understand.  Let's hope they change their minds.

  2. get him to the vet if your parents wont take him ask a relative if they can help you but he needs to see a vet now our dog was like that and he ended up having surgery so please do what ever you have to but get him to the vet i hope hes okay good luck

  3. May be dehydrated in the heat.  Go to people pharmacy, buy pedialyte, its an electrolyte correction for children.  Give him fresh water with a partial capful of the orange liquid.  That should help, until you can get to the vet another way if the pedialyte doesn't do the trick.  Hope he gets better.

  4. Is there anything laying around that he could have got into? Such as chocolate, raisins, medications or anything he might be allergic to?

If it is cold or rainy outside, it could be arthritis. But you would have probably noticed it by now. Does he tend to whine or shake when he gets up, but is fine afterwards? If so, it could be his joints.

It is hard to tell. He may also be having back problems. The best thing to do it get him to the vet.

  5. There's nothing you can do but take him to the vet when you can. If your parents refuse to take him, just care for him the best you can and give him a lot of love! good luck, i hope he feels better.

  6. if you care for the dog see a vet now

  7. He's hurt and needs to be seen..

even animals that are hurt will eat their favorite treat.

  8. its worth a 30 min ride to keep ur dog alive

  9. Seriously you need to get your dog seen by a vet asap,it could be anything, nobody can do a diagnosis over the internet, please get your dog to the vet.

  10. Honey, tell your parents that I (and others) think dog should see Vet today.

They and you can email me if you like.

  11. sorry to say but maybe you dog is suffering from old age... hes 10 which means hes like 70.... dogs die when theyre 12... but thats the average...

check out your dog at a vet imediately cause i know dogs and considering its old age, it could be in old age pain. it might die if you dont help it!

  12. My dog sometimes gets sick like that and we have to bring her to the vet the next day. I hope its better and it should be just a bug ilness that should go away soon.

  13. Honestly the dog should see a vet. Something could be wrong with him.
