Make sure all your subs are worth only 4.5m or less. You need better midfielders, about 3 midfielders of substancial value. Get a cheap defence maybe one star player but have a few players probably worth more than their value playing 90 minutes. If you do this you will have enough money to boost your midfield (midfield scores most points). It all depends on your formation, i recommend you have only 3 backs, 4 midfielders and 3 fowards (judging your depth).
