Help! my game doesnt wrk when the internet is blocked!?

i think its the shaw secure thing, but im not sure becuase when i was trying to play the game instaled on my computer (rumble fighter) and the parental control was on it said "an error occured" or sumthing, could someone tell me whats wrong, thanks :D
