  1. There is always a high variability in the colour/pattering of reptiles and amphibians. Don't worry, it's perfectly natural. True, they change colour based on what camoflauges best with their surroundings, but there is never a 'perfect colour'. Sunlight is also a factor. With my firebelly toads, more sunlight caused them to turn lighter green over time. Also my turtles have stayed a lighter green over the years due to sunlight, while I have seen other turtles turn almost black from lack of it.

The colouring of individuals within the same species is also different. For my firebelly toads, one would always stay super green no matter what, while another was mostly always brown. The third one could change from light green to dark brown within hours so really, there is nothing wrong with your pets; enjoy them being healthy, happy animals!

  2. well what kind of decor do you have in there tank and what kind bedding do you have them on

  3. well they are brown because they feel they blend in better that way. try getting some lighter color substrate and lots of green in that cage and they should go green i know mine go brown at night and green during the day. i hope this helps
