Help... my internet is not working???

Question

I have a desktop which is connected to a cable modem (wired) and my brother has a laptop and he connects to the internet thru a router which is connected to my modem. We never had any problems with our connections until today when my internet stopped working but his is alright. I checked all the cables and all of them are connected... What else could be the problem?

the problem sounds like its in your computer. Try restarting it, and then if that doesn't work. Shut everything off and then turn it on one by one, starting with the thing that is connected to your Internet access.

As for the one guy that posted before me about how you were able to post the question, never mind him, he just doesn't know how to read. lol.

Technically his shouln't work  if yours don't work. Restore to an earlier time. If you recently installed a program that might be the problem. Else, are you getting any error messages???

Have you reset the router?

Also, if he is downloading anything off the internet, that can affect the internet speed on your computer.

Are they in the correct place

If it says server not found then call the company to get it hooked up your parents may not have payed the bill so it will say server not found the people will get the internet running again or you might have to unplug some things and theyll guid you what to do
