Question:

Help!! my septum ring is stuck?

i got my septum pierced about 6 weeks ago, when i pierced it i put a lip ring in it (for discrete healing) so when i went to unscrew the dice (because the square shape was easier to undo then a small ball) it wouldnt come out! at first i thought i was just twisting the wrong way but then i figured out that the plate/rod moves with the dice when i twist. so not only do i not know which way to unscrew but i dont know how i can keep the plate/rod from moving with the dice. i tried pressing the dice in i tried pushing the plate in and neither really works. i can only fit one finger in my nostril at once so my next step was to use tweezers or pliers to grip the plate.

any other suggestions?

  1. Okaii dont worry

just go see the dude that pierced ur septym and he'll take it out

  2. try soaking the jewelry. you've probably got crusties stuck around the base of the dice.

you will want to turn it to your left...or in the case of the labret stud that you have in, turn the dice away from you.

using latex gloves is also a really good idea as they will help you with grip to keep the base of the stud from moving.

in the future, if you need to keep your piercing discreet, your best bet would be a circular barbell or a septum retainer. septum retainers are sometimes hard to get in so I would recommend the circular barbell...which is what I wear in my own septum piercing and when I flip it up nobody even knows its there.

  3. go to your piercer. you could really hurt yourself like this!

  4. Bad idea putting in a labret for jewelry. Just go to your piercer and have them take it out. I recommend wearing a circular barbell or a septum retainer if you want to hide it.
