  1. try downloading ccleaner. it will help clean up your system. you may also want to try adaware 2008

  2. Your pagefile.sys may be corrupt.

    To create a new pagefile.sys,

go to Control Panel>System>Click on Advanced Tab>under Performance choose Settings>click on Advanced tab again>click on change under Virtual Memory>choose custom size> change to 2mb for Initial and Maximum, click the Set button and reboot.

Once you are back in Windows, Repeat the steps and change to system manage size and click the Set button and reboot once more.

Hopefully you should see a difference in performance!

  3. Check the harddisk if it is full or free. clear unwanted space from your harddisk. Moreover try removing unwanted programs from the system as they tend to eat more memory. you can also try the PC SpeedScan Pro  as it helps in scanning the pc for errors that slows it down. it increases your memory speed thereby making the computer lag-free. Check the given link for the software.
