Help!! my thigh popped when i was running.?

so i was at my soccer practice, and we were running around the Fields, started out as jogging, then i started sprinting full speed, for about 7 seconds, then my thigh popped. and i stopped running and sat down cuz i could barely walk anymore. then i got up and limped to my car. then went home and iced it and put bengay and slept. now i woke up and i still feel pain. what should i do?

  1. What they said.  It is most likely a hamstring tear and will require rest to heal.  It resulted from the sudden acceleration.  When you get back to running remember to accelerate evenly and gradually.

  3. first off you need to see a sports med. doc and i know your going to hate what they have to say cuz it going to mean time off. and it depend on where you feel the pain not to be rude but if you feel it in your butt then its most likely you ripped your hamstring from where it connects on the hip if its lower it could still be your hamstring cuz it could have ripped at your knee. cuz it sounds like to me because iam coming off of a hamstring injury and god it was painful
