Help my water is gone?

OK here it goes i was gone yesterday and i came back and i turned on my sink but no water came out we have a well so we trout it was a burned out pump but we whent down to the town and tryed a hand pump and we got like 6 gallons then it stopped sending water up the water so i was wondering what your take is on all or this plz help if u can thanks in advance

maybe your well is dry or your pump is not deep enough since you said a hand pump only got 6 gallons out
