Help need, burning a dvd?

i downloaded dora the explorer, for my g/daughter, i burnt it on to disk but it will only play on my pc not on my dvd like i wanted it to. what am i doing wrong? or what do i need to install to be able to do this? thank you.

  1. you need video conversion software type that into your search bar most are free


  2. Use Sothink, its free, it converts any video to the standard mpeg-layer4 format so the DVD will play on any home DVD player.

    Note if your prompt theres not enough room on the disc to burn ignore it, press no each time, it will still work as long as the green loading bar is in the limits

You would need a divx supported DVD player to burn and play files - divx/avi/wmv etc without converting, these are quite cheap now £30.00 upwards at Amazon. if you can get one that supports USB as well it would eliminate burning any discs as you coud drag and drop the avi files onto a memory stick and simply plug and play on the DVD player

    Or you will need to convert the files(lengthy process) and then burn them as another answerer has stated.

    The time and money saved by using the DivX USB supported DVD Player is well worth the outlay.
