I'm a 18 college student and i need a job

i had a part time job over the summer but do to them low on money i have to work less(casually)

i need a new job but having trouble finding one.

my last job was at a optometrist office ( eye doctor) where i answered the phone, schedule appointments, flies and and other low task work.

i got the job because i was an inter n there( basically by luck)

i have applied on-line to a hospital near me but what else can i do?

how do i apply for the state hospital?

any other jobs i can get that paid $8.00 hour like my last job?
