  1. Defensive Ends, are often the fastest players on the D-Line, focus on speed, and also don't forget to lift weights. Don't forget  to stay balanced, work on your stance, and square up your feet about shoulder-width apart. And tear through the O-Line with aggression.

  2. All the things these guys have said are true but the main thing is work out get strong and run a lot. It seems obviouss but it is the truth. A few other tips to try when pass rushing, push up on the O-linemans shoulder pads to choke them a little bit which startles them and they may let go of you, another is learn and perfect special moves the the swim and cut moves.

  3. Stay low and keep your outside arm free. Also extend your arms once you make contact to help see whats going on in the play and make sure to rip through to help get off block and to never get blocked down always make sure you stay as square as possible to be able to keep contain and flow to the ball.

  4. The key is not to get tied up by the offense. Defensive Ends contain the side they are on, close up the holes, without getting beat on the outside.  The key is do not get blocked, which requires his hands not to grab you or hold you, as that is his job for you, all the while looking at where the play is developing to pursuit.  Defensive End is a heads up, fast position, and also requires strength, because you have to manipulate the tackle, and sometimes the occasional pulling guard, and during pass plays containing the quarterback without getting tied up with the backfield.  Practice on your speed, practice moves that will break you loose of your opponent without opening a hole or committing to any certain direction, a lot of slapping hands loose and open hand shoving your opponent it is a lot like punching with an open hand you should aim about 6 inches behind his jersey as your power focus.  Expect to bleed, it is an occupational hazard, tape is your best friend, and intimidate your opponent or be intimidated.
