Help needed! Is my aunt a victim of curb stoning?

My aunt moved here from germany in america, she went on craig's list to find a car. She found a blue hyundai for $3500, the guy she met with said he was moving and needed to sell it. He pressured my aunt into getting it. The day before she picked it up (it needed some touches) she got the Car fax and it said she could be a victim of curb stoning. Car fax also said it hadn't been serviced for two years. What should she do?

  1. Curb Stoning, what is that, term not found on internet search?

Anyway, did your aunt get a clean title with the car?  Will the car pass inspection and was it a good deal?  If those are both yes, then what's the point of this question?

Carfax is a bit of a scam to be honest and don't waste your time reading their reports.  Carfax doesn't list the service history of most cars or even their accident history very accurately.  How do I know, I sold my Nissan Maxima that had been in the body shop at least 4 times through insurance...carfax didn't list it on the report and they only listed a few of the service history records.  What if the guy did the maintenance himself, how would carfax know?  Carfax mostly just shows if a car was salvaged.
