Help needed! Where can i go to give food to poor people?

Start with your own neighborhood. A single-parent, a senior citizen. Check with your school district or senior citzen organization.

That's a very nice thing for you to do. You should feel good about yourself. I have a church nearby where I donate and serve food for people who cant afford food. Maybe a church near you has something similar? You could also ask around, or google local soup kitchens.

Every local town has a food bank.  You might want to look at your local yellow pages or call your local town hall for it's location.

go to a food bank and drop the food off there...maybe a homeless shelter. or take it to a church that you know helps feel the poor and homeless

It is best to give it directly to the poor if you can, but a Masjid, a food pantry, a grocery store (most of them at least), and local schools. Make sure you do not give it to a church or anything like that because although it is beneficial to the poor there are other ways to do it that do not risk your faith.

You can google (sorry yahoo) for local mosques in your area.  But giving to the poor does not have to be limited to Muslims during Ramadan.  Shelters and food banks are also in need.

Maybe you could try finding those areas of your resident city where bums and hobos hang out?  They are typically in need of money and thus food.  They also prefer home made banana bread to money or other such nonsensical things like canned food or pastas.
