Why each student is a unique number when they join the school???

Please if you have any idea tell me

  2. I think it's your ID number, so they can keep track of the people they had in school and when they were in school.

    it's easier to go by that when looking at some things than it is using the name

  4. well it could be like at how it is at my school.. we have id # we use at lunch and stuff its  like the first 4 is the year you graduate.. like for example 1010 is your first 4 digits if you graduate in 2010.or 2090 if you graduate in 2009 and the other 4 we use is has to do with your last name.. like 5246.. your last name begins with R .. ..

    i think that's how they do it at my school.. i have had the same id # since i was in 6th grade..

  5. they have individual numbers for each student to represent what that student is in an orderly manner. If you had five Jacks in a class, instead of saying Jack 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, you would have the indiviudal ID numbers there to help you refer to them. Of course these numbers are mainly used in the administratie section of the school
