  1. well i know what you mean it happens a lot but when you go on stage just think of the next step while doing a step and that always helps me

  2. Something that always helps me is going over the steps once, right before i go on--but do it in a place where you'll know when it's your turn to go on.  I also close my eyes and breathe deeply and try to go over everything i need to remember.   For nervous performers it takes a lot of time on stage and / or performing in front of ppl to get over the fright.  Maybe you can perform it in front of your parents before the recital?  I really think that would help a lot even if you dont have the music.  But whatever you do don't chew gum anymore while you're performing.  Best of luck.  give us an update on how it went

  3. just dance and don't pay attention to the crowd

watch my cousins youtube video just search

    lollipop dance kid

he's the one in the blue

hope you get over your fear

leave a comment on youtube if you can

  4. i just had my dance recital last week and what helped me is thinking that im showing the audience something that they cant do...or they are not good at... i dont know if that makes sense but its like showing what you know...i got nervous just before i was going on but all of my friends were helping me with my nerves and when i went up on stage i just pretended i was still in the studio practicing without even worrying about the audience...plus, you cant see anything with all the lights..

    good luck!

  5. When I dance I don't think about the audience. When I'm nervous I try not to think that I'm performing because what makes me nervous is knowing that alllll those people in the audience can see me. So I just keep my mind on the dance and how much I love dancing. If you dance with passion, enjoy what your doing, and/or keep putting everything  into your dancing, the audience will disappear and you'll be the most positively captivating dancer who won't look the least bit nervous!

Good Luck on your show today! Do your best!

  6. try to have confidence if your scared sometimes everyone else can tell just try to shake out the nerves before you go on stage and don't feel bad after its done

  7. when you get nervous bite the side of your cheek, not too hard though because it will bleed and you will be bleeding from the mouth and that does not make for good dancing.

  8. You have no reason to be nervous.  You've been working hard all year for these recitals, and I'm sure your teacher(s) wouldn't allow you to go onstage unless she (they) thought you were any good.  Dancing is supposed to be fun, but everyone gets nervous now and then.  Whenever you get nervous, just remind yourself that you've done these dances an uncountable number of times during the year, and that you can do it.  If you concentrate more on your dancing than on the actual stage or audience, you should have no problem.  You only get to perform these dances once, so enjoy them while you can.  Have fun at your recitals!
