okay pretend that the world has ended and all traces of civilization are gone. someone from another plant, who speaks our language, has come to earth and the only thing left from our civilization is one penny. below list the things that could be assumed or inferred about our civilization from this one small penny. you should find at least 10.

    9- er. ..

yeah I'm out. .. I just want the two points, but it was funtrying to think of stuff

  2. 1. The person on the front (Lincoln, but they wouldn't know that) must have been some sort of leader or king

    2. They might think that Lincoln's last name or title was "Liberty" because the word is  just kind of hanging out alone next to his cameo

    3. They would probably think the Lincoln memorial on the back was his palace or house

    4. They would know we were called The United States of America

    5. They might think 'E Pluribus Unum' was the name of the "palace" since it's stamped right above the memorial, and is obviously not the same language as the rest of the writing on the penny

    6. Assuming they think E Pluribus Unum is the name of the palace, they might think that "Liberty" was a foreign-born king or ruler

    7. They would think that we looked up to or admired something called "God". They could also think this might be Lincoln's name or title.

    8. They might think we were a poor nation since the penny is just copper, and not silver or gold, and because  Lincoln looks a little scruffy and worn in the cameo

    9. They might speculate that our nation collapsed or was destroyed around the time of the  date on the penny, in this case, 2005

    10. Assuming they wouldn't really be able to know what "one cent" was worth, and because it was the only thing left, they might think that pennies were a type of currency used all the time, when in fact, they are often treated very nonchalantly.

That's what I came up with.. hope it helped
