  1. Don't spray it with round-up!!!  There is a specialty herbicide called Manage.  It may be available through a home and garden store or you may have to call a lawn care company.  It's easy to kill when you have the right product.

  2. Sadly you can't weed it out. It will always come back. You need to buy a strong weed killer, and use this on a non rainy day.

  3. weed & feed products for the grass usually take care of it.

  4. The only way I know to get rid of Nut grass (Nut sedge) is to spray it with Roundup, or other brand of herbicide containing glyphosate.  It may take several applications to get rid of it, because nut sedge will re-sprout from the "nuts" it has formed on underground roots.

Nut sedge, torpedo grass, and bermuda grass can be tough problems, and they will grow under, through, or around most ground cover materials.  I just planted a new flower garden 2 months ago and have sprayed nutgrass twice so far.  By doing this regularly, the amount of nutsedge is decreasing.
