Ive been looking around for a new muffler for my BMW 2006 325i E90 and I could only find a supersprint muffler for around $1000. I wasnt looking to spend that much on a muffler.

I need some help on what the best muffler is for my model of car to make it sound louder and nicer.

Also, if you know of any websites that sell these types of mufflers please comment.

Thanks alot.

  1. There are quite a few mufflers out there. Brands include Supersprint, Eisenmann, Ikon, Remus, JIC, Dinan, Hamann, AC Schnitzer--there are many more.

There are some people who just cut off the resonator and replace it with just tips. Videos are available on youtube if you search correctly. This is the most cost effective--I think around 200$.

If you plan on keeping the resonator, I think Ikon is the cheapest in terms of resonator/muffler replacement. If your going for that, I'd go to www.e90post.com and look for vendors selling exhausts. From what I remember, modbargains.com had them in stock, but I don't know about current availability.

    all you need to know!

  3. you can get a Remus for about $650, you do not want to go much cheaper than that.  Check out bavauto.com and give them a call they may have other suggestions.  I bought a muffler for my 71 2002 from them a few years ago, they sourced one in my price range that was not listed on their website.  Saved me a bunch of money and it was a really nice system.
