  1. If you want to catch largemouthh bass then the best thing to use is "gary yamamoto senkos" found at Bass Pro Shop or any rubber tubes. Some spinner baits work as well.

  2. cast more

  3. cant help you if we dont know where you at!!!!!!!!

  4. It would help if you post the equipment, fishing knowledge and what type of water you are fishing. You can get a lot of good help on this forum but you need to be a little more specific with your information.

Go get your self some plastic worms and lizards, topwater lures like rapala minnows and poppers, some 1/4 oz. spinnerbaits & buzzbaits and you will have the basic tools needed to catch large & smallmouth bass. However, there is no substitute for being out on the water. You will need to put in some time and learn how to make each type of lure work best for you. I would start with the worms and learn how to work this bait to make fish bite. I fish with a lot of people who are constantly changing lures because they aren't catching fish. They don't spend enough time with any one lure to learn the different ways it can catch fish. Hope this helps. Tight lines and stay at it!

  6. Alright well its hard to tell where ur fishing..but a good start is soft plastics. Worms like Gary Yamamoto senkos work extremely well(texas rigged) Also slow roll spinnerbaits(just a fast enough retrieve to feel the blades spinning). Topwater also works well. Try small poppers like XPS versions, just try and stay away from top water frogs they can be a royal pain. Depending on where ur fishing ur gonna want from a size 1 to a 5. Add some info about climate and where ur fishing and types of structure and we can go further. Thanks, Hope this helps

  7. Here are a few bass tips and technique articles I found that might come in handy. Take the others advice on brands of lures as well, those brands are very good. I also like to use Berkley Gulp and Powerbait as well for scented soft plastics.

I have also found this site to be helpful just in general fishing. It has a lot of tips on when and where to fish, what fish like what kinds of baits, how to tie a few general knots, etc. I am sure it will come in handy.

Hope this helps. Good luck. I hope you get you a great BIG bass!!

  8. Dude, if I gave you all of my fishing wisdom, and trials and errors, we'd be here for days. The 1st poster should get best answer, because he is right on.

It's called fishing, not catching...and I fish plenty of bass tournaments, and have walked away skunked many times, but keep donating cash to the cause. ;)

I'm focusing on the 3/8ths Mega Strike Evolution jig with various YUM craw papi and Rage Tail Chunks lately, and boating some nice bass!

The feel of the bite is often tough to detect, but hooksets are FREE. If it feels like a nibble or bite, set the hook! You can always replace lures, if you into wood, rocks, and stuff that is NOT a fish. :D
