Help on PHP codes and website!!?

Hey. I have to questions:

1) Does go daddy let you host a website in HTML edit way. And PHP?

2) Is their a way that you can run php scripts from your own computer? If not is their a website that lets you host .php files. Or a software you can download to get is running?

  1. I believe that Godaddy hosts your website. And they do support PHP.

    You could of course pick up an excellent CMS like Joomla to help manage your website more easily.

    And no, I am not affiliated with Joomla in any way, other than using it.


  2. Godaddy does in fact let you run PHP, and of course you can use HTML.

    And yes, you can install a web server and PHP to your personal computer.  I recommend you going and downloading XAMPP and installing that.  It's good to practice and learn with.

  3. If you are using Windows then you could try xampp [ http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-wi... ] to install a web server (apache, mysql, php) on your computer so you can run php script locally.

    However it will be difficult, but not impossible, to host a website on your computer. And most ISPs do not allow you to host them anyways but this is a great way to play around with PHP and for testing.
