  1. get someone help you !

  2. This may be cheating, but there are freeware programs that help solve Sodoku puzzles.

    Try:

    http://freewarefiles.com

    http://freewarehome.com

from the freeware site, use the searchbox for "sodoku"

  3. Always do it in pencil, and have an eraser handy.

If you notice, it's 9 3x3 blocks. Each 3x3 block has to use each number, 1 - 9, once. Now, in the "big picture" view, each number can only be used once per column and row.

Look for the 3 x 3 box that has the most numbers filled in for you. Now, look at an individual blank box within that 3x3 box. Write in the corners (so you'll be writing tiny numbers) any numbers that COULD work for that box, looking at it in context to its 3x3 box, to its column, and to its row. Sometimes, it works out that you only have 1 number left in that box; write that in the center to show that you've solved that box. Sometimes, it doesn't; you may have two or three (or more) options. Simply move on to the next box in that 3x3 block.

Once you've figured out all the options for all the blank boxes in the 3x3 block, see if any cancel each other out (ie., if one box in one row/column can only have a 6 or 7, and another box in a different row/column can only have a 6 or 7, see which would work better in that box in context to the whole board).

It's really a big process of elimination. It can be pretty tough, but fun, too.

What also helped me was drawing out a much bigger 9x9 block on a piece of paper and writing (very tiny!) numbers 1-0 at the top of each box in black ink. Then, I'd fill in the given numbers in a different color ink, like red or green. I would then use a pencil to try and figure out the rest, marking off the impossible choices first (i.e., a given number that has already appeared in that 3x3 block, row, or column; then what I believe is the correct answer in the blank boxes), and going from there.

  4. One of the fastest ways I use to do sudoku puzzles is by looking for numbers that are the same in rows or columns that are near each other.  Remember that only one of each number is ever in the same row or column.

If you see that there are two 6's, one in the top right-hand box, and one in the middle right-hand box, then that narrows the 6 that will appear in the bottom right-hand box to a single column, the column that wasn't used by the other two 6's.

Sometimes two of the three spaces in that box and column are already filled, meaning you can just put the 6 in the space that is remaining.  If there is more than one space remaining, look across in the rows beside it for 6's.  They might eliminate some of the spaces in that box & column because there can only be one 6 per row also.

    Hope that helps.

  5. Xerox the game and offer $10 to the person who can complete itthe fastest ;)

  6. yes ,,

first: try line by line from 1 to 9 horizontally than vertically

    second: tan square by square

third: than after restart the first step

after many times using that tip you brain code the way and let you solve it as you view the grid deja-vu
