Help on buying video cameras!?

ok i need a video recordedr thingy that can pause and then go,and is very easy to put videos on the internet currently i have a sony handy cam dat make dvd's but it is confusing to put the vifeos on like youtube, and the only really good thing about it is thouch screen but besides that it's worth less! i mean you cant even delete some of videos once you make 1!

  2. OK, so it sounds like you want simplicity versus quality/manual controls. What is your price range? Are you absolutely opposed to using MIni DV tapes? Do you prefer HDD (hard disk drive) or flash memory?

    The HV20 is a great cam for quality versus price at around $650, but that might be past your price range. Consider looking into a cheaper HDD camera, such as a JVC MG255 (nice large HDD with decent picture quality and manual control settings). It costs around $390 US. Just know that some "artifacts" and color bleeding will occur; but if you aren't a stickler for video quality, it will do you just great.

    If you are willing to splurge and want to get something great, the Canon HV30 does 30p video (which easily and nicely converts into the 15 frame rate for online video). It is about $1000 however, but it's High Definition.

    Again, I think you want an HDD or flash memory cam. Look at some in the store, and then buy it at a respected and trusted online vendor for a cheaper price.
