Help on career after GCSE :D?

Hello,

I have just got my GCSE results and I am looking to go onto doing A levels, but i’m really not sure on what to take!..

I enjoy IT, Science and food technology, and the only job I have found that appealed to me was hotel management at the moment. I just want an idea of a career path and maybe some A levels that could help me with a particular career.

Results: Eng: A Eng Lit: A PE: C Religious studies: A* Maths: C History: A Food technology: A Science double award: A,B Cida:(IT 3 GCSE’s) A,A*,A

Some of my skills are that I’m organised, I will stick to any deadline, hard working, I really enjoyed coursework at GCSE and got good grades and I have some skills on the computer one of my weaknesses is that I am very shy, but has not stopped me passing my GCSE’s and meeting some amazing friends!

Thanks for reading and any advice would be great!

  1. If you enjoy IT do that.. then with the science pick out one you like the best biology chemistry or physics and take one of them :P

And seen as though you had an A* in maths i would take it as not many people are as good at math :)

Then maybe a language ? this would come in handy for hotels as you will get foreign visitors..

I got my results yesterday too im really stuck on what to take aswell lol

    Congrats and Good Luck x*x

  2. First of all, WELL DONE! (:

I would say for you to take you're A Levels,

    -English you seem brilliant at,

    -Food Technology

English, as you are good on the computer; possibly look at journalism?

And with Food Technology, you may want to go into a catering business. But focus mainly on achieving those A-Levels at the moment! But take a wide choice so that you don't fall into something you don't want to be doing for the rest of you're life.

    Good luck
