I need help on defining the meaning of this sentence, I already have my own version but I would like a few more opinions!

"So there is a very clear sense in which we can assert that is constituted by historical interpretation and traditions of historical interest-even though the underlying happenings themselves are not.

  1. what? i gotta be honest im not a dumbie and im usually pretty deep but that was worded terribly. it was painful reading it over and over again to get the "guess" of an interpretation that i got.

    well i would say that peoples interpretations and traditions that came from the historical event is more obvious than if the event ever even existed.
