  1. wow thats sad you sound like your only doing it to please only others and not yourself havent you found out that being a vegetarian means that in a meat eaters world you will be left out numerous time? obviously thoug could just eat what you see them eat simple as that

  2. you should do what makes you happy....

  3. well obviously you didn't feel strongly about the animals who are murdered for your sake and abused just to eat...because there's no way in the world I could ever go back to eating meat...i'm a vegan. why would you give up your beliefs just to "fit in"? don't do that....unless you really don't mind supporting animal abuse.

  4. You should not eat meat. I have the same problem as you.  Veggie burgers can help you to not feel so "different". Just remember that 10 billion land animals in the US are slaughtered a year just to end up on our plates.

  5. I had that problem when I was a teenager and my family was constantly trying to get me to eat meat.  What you have to remember is why you decided to go vegetarian in the first place and take that into consideration when making your decision.

Perhaps, instead of reverting back to eating meat, you could ask your family to be a little bit more understanding about your decision.  It took 7 years but my mom finally started to make me a Boca patty with the sides at dinner instead of trying to force feed me chicken or steak.  If you make it known that you are serious about your decision and that you feel strongly about something then people will understand, even if they don't understand right away.

    Good luck!

  6. who cares what others think?

"because other people tell me too, i'm gonna kill myself"

you are obviously going to get pushed around the rest of your life...

whatever your belief is you can't let others make you do something

    grow a spine

  7. Don't listen to these people telling you you shouldn't eat meat, and don't listen to your family telling you it's weird not to...do whatever you wish and feel your body needs. If being vegetarian feels right to you, then continue, and if you feel you should add meat into your diet again, just start eating it again...try smaller portions at first to avoid getting sick, but if you've been eating eggs and dairy, your body probably won't react that oddly to it. Just tell your family that vegetarianism was something you wanted to try out and that worked for the time being but that now you're trying out eating meat again.

  8. I was a vegetarian for a couple years and then I slowly started to eat meat again.  It took a little getting used to again.  I started out eating little bites of fish and chicken, and worked my way up to eating red meat again.

As for your family....if eating meat is what you want to do, eat meat.  If you want to be a vegetarian, be a vegetarian.  I'd just be blunt about it and say, "I think im going to start eating a little bit of meat again".

  9. Don't give in to family pressure. For 8 months of your life, you were not responsible for the death of a single animal. Why not extend it for your remaining life too? You can do it certainly.

  10. you dont have to stop being a vegetarian just because of your family! you dont have to feel left out either, you can still buy mock meat.

anyhow, if YOU really want to, start off with lik broths so you dont make yourself sick.

really though, dont sacrifice your beliefs for anyone.

  11. Okay, obviously I am going to say this - I think you should stay a vegetarian. Don't feel left out because your family eats meat and you don't. That makes YOU special. You have to stand out sometimes and if you really wanted to help animals, or stay healthy, then you would stay a vegetarian.

If you want to start eating meat, then just tell them that you're really craving meat, since they are eating lots of it and they'll probably understand.

Like the answerer on top of mine said, you can buy mock meat - which is fake meat. You can get Morning star products or Yves. It taste JUST LIKE meat, I swear, because I have tried it myself.

Don't you feel sad on what they do to the animals to make the meat? :(

  12. In this day and age, almost all meat is laden with herbicides, fungicides, pesticides and other chemicals that are sprayed on or poured into the feed, which these animals consume. They are also pumped full of toxic hormones, antibiotics, growth stimulators and all kinds of drugs to fatten them up and keep them from dying from the extremely unhealthy conditions most of them live in! This is not to mention the admitted fact that many of them are fed the dead, ground up carcasses of other feed lot animals who, for a variety of shocking reasons, didn't make it to the slaughterhouse & markets.

Speaking of the animal slaughterhouse, what kind of chemical reaction do you suppose would occur in your body if somebody put a choke chain around your neck to keep you in line, shoved you onto a conveyor belt, and made you watch in horror as all of those in line in front of you were beheaded one by one? Well your body would e pumped so full of adrenaline from all that fear you wouldn't know what hit you! Unused adrenaline is extremely toxic. If you think for a minute that most of the meat that you consume is not packed with this toxic substance, you’re sadly mistaken!

Also, consider the fact that cattle, sheep, chickens, etc., are all vegetarians. When you eat them, you are eating polluted vegetables. Why not skip all the waste and toxins and just eat healthy, organic vegetables and fruit?

And what about that myth that you have to eat meat to get your protein? If that were so true, where do you suppose farm animals, especially horses, get all their protein? They are vegetarians! They get their protein from the grains and grasses that they eat. You’re no different. You can get the proteins you need from the large variety of whole grains, soy, raw nuts, seeds, beans, fruits and vegetables that God put on this planet for your health.

Do you still want to eat meat?
