  1. First start small. I know it seems stupid, but I'm serious. Start with a two foot spin.

Put your feet at about shoulders length apart, and then pull your arms into a pretzel shape really fast.

Then try that and pull your foot up in the middle of the spin!

You might want to consider doing private lessons if you really want to excel in the competitive world of figure skating.

    Good Luck!

  2. start with whatever your non dominant foot is.. If your left handed, use your right.. etc.. go into an outside edge, putting the pressure in the center of your fooot, keep your knee slightly bent.. to pick up speed.. unbend your knees while bringing your arms in.. good luck!.. also check skating videos on youtube for help.

  3. just go into a really fast spin (maybe start skating a little then go into a spin) then try picking your foot up very slowly (try keeping your strong foot on the ground and pick your non strong foot up)

  4. Before you try to do the one foot spin try doing the two foot spin.

The most important thing in skating is not how you look, it is if that you are skating safely or not.

When you spin whitch part of your feet you balance on is really important. Don't put your energy on your heels or your toe pick cause it'll make you fall down.you have to balance on your middle part of your feet.

When you spin make sure you lift your head up and hold your arms really tight to your chest. It'll makeyou spin much quicker.

Ofcourse you won't be able to spin beatifully on Ice unless you can spin beatifully on the ground. So that's why a lot of figure skaters do ballet and gymnastics aswell as skating.

    Anyway good luck with it!
