Ok well, i started playing soccer since like april of this year with my friendsm and i enjoyed it. So i then decided to sign up for next years team. I signed a green permission slip, and went to only one of the 6 optional practices in the summer. But now i dont enjoy soccer anymore, and i really dont want to play..Mainly because it bores me, and the whole team is mostly hation/spanish so they hog the ball, and are so g*y if you dont speak there language.Only thing im worried about is making an excuse or something to the coach, seeing as how the coach for the team is my next years gym teacher. Should i just not come to tryouts in aug. ? should i tell a friend who is gonna go to tell him im not playing? Help..

  1. is it because you dont get the ball and dont speak the same language?

buddy, who cares about getting the ball man.. you could do great things without the ball..

just tell the coach straight up if you dont want to play anymore.. tell him, because i got nooo love for this sport anymore..or whatever

but d**n, i hope you really turn this around and not quit, because really.. quiting is for losers

  2. NO!!! Don't make someone else tell the coach!

If you didn't tryout, and you're not on the team already, then don't go to tryouts. If your gym teacher asks, you can just tell him you didn't enjoy it anymore, or that you were going to try other things.

If you're already on the team, you need to be mature and tell your coach in person and explain to him why you aren't doing it anymore. That's the responsible thing to do and it's much, much better than hiding away from it and having someone else do your dirty work.

  3. Contrary to popular student lore, teachers do not take things personally. If we did, we all would have committed suicide our first year teaching. If you  want to get respect you must give it and that means going to the coach to tell him you've decided not to play. He may, or may not, ask why. Be honest with him. If other students are also feeling 'shut out' by some players, him learning about it could improve his coaching and the team in general. Whatever you decide to do, good luck.

  4. Yea tell a friend, of tell your mom, or just stop goin to practice if u have practice?????

  5. Be mature about it. You signed up, so you need to go to the coach and let he/she know that you decided not to play. You should be honest. You will feel better about yourself. Are you interested in other sports that go on at the same time? If so, let the coach know that you decided that this other sport is more for you. Your coach will respect your honesty and courage. It is not good sportsmanship to make the coach wonder what is going on (if you are still playing or not).
