I am making 100 grams of something and it has 3 ingredients, 75 grams of one, 15 grams of another, and 10 grams of another. And if I want to make a quarter of that amount, what would the proportions be? And this is by weight.

  1. Measurements are as follows:

    18.75

    3.75

    2.5

  2. Your formula for converting any recipe is :

    New Yield/Old Yield = A conversion factor

CF*OY = ingredient amounts  in NY

    25/100= .25 CF

    .25* 75gms=18.75

    .25*15gms=3.75

    ,25*10gms =2.5

Three things you need to know

    1) convert everything to a common unit of measurement

    2) No mixed numbers

    3) Convert all fractions to their decimal equivalents

  3. (75*1/4)=75/4= 18.75 grams.

    (15*1/4)=15/4=3.75 grams.

    (10*1/4)=10/4=2.5 grams.
