Help on removing a chevy blazer headunit (aka Radio) ?

Hello.

I recently purchased a chevy blazer from my uncle and the radio is not too good on the working end. It'll play, but for a short time. It'll turn on, then flash a little, I can adjust the volume for about 10 seconds, then it turns off but keeps playing the radio. I'm trying to take off the unit to I can fix the short or just maybe get a new one.

Anybody have any legitimate steps on how to remove it and get behind it to fix it?

if it is stock you have to take the dash face off and it wouldnt be hard just a few screws and wires DONT CUT ANY WIRES
