  1. 1. Don't know much about that Greek mythology stuff so I can't help with this answer.

    2. A horse has 2 blind spots. One blind spot is a narrow area to the front between the eyes and extending out about 3 feet and the other is a narrow area to the rear. When a horse's head is facing straight forward it cannot see the rider and cannot see anyone approaching directly from the rear. But otherwise a horse's field of vision is extremely wide on both sides and to the front beyond that short and very narrow blind spot to the front between the eyes.

    3. Cantering is a 3-beat gait also called a lope.

    4. The rider should be center in the saddle and balanced, not toward the back with excessive weight on the tailbone nor toward the front with excessive weight on the pelvis. But in up and down movement, such as during a trotting stride for example, the rider should open the hip angle and allow the pelvis to 'move toward the front of the saddle' on the up movement and then touch down softly in the saddle rather than slam straight down on the horse's back.

    5. The answer is false. A horse will begin to shed it's winter coat in the spring and grooming requires a shedding blade to loosen and help get rid of the extra hair as the season changes to summer.

    6. None of those are parts of a horse's hoof or the pastern from the hoof to the fetlock joint and cannon bone.

    7. The choice of answers here are confusing and I don't see any good choice. I grew up around horses and have had horses and transported horses all my life all I have ever used is usually a blanket, trailer boots or shipping boots and maybe sometimes hoof guards and a tail bag when transporting. So I can't help you with the choices given here.

    8. A horse has 7 cervical vertebrae and 33 total vertebrae. There are 7 cervical in the neck, 12 thoracic in the upper back connected to the ribcage, 5 lumbar in the lower back, 5 sacral in the pelvis, and 4 in the tailbone.

Edit: Correction on answer 6. On second thought tendons and ligaments are a part of the pastern and connect the hoof and the fetlock joint is the equivalent of a knuckle. So ligaments and knuckle are parts of the horse's foot.
