  1. thats kinda impossible because if one crosses the finish line and breakes the record, then the one that comes next cant be faster than the new world record??

or do u mean like 2 different heats? but the same race? there was a few in swimming, i no that one was with eamon sullivan and some other guy from the states or something, cos eamon broke it then that guy then eamon again..??

  2. Michael Phelps won golds and world records in several swimming competitions (duh).

Kosuke Kitajima made a world record in the 100m breast stroke.

Additionally, Michael Phelps vs. Alain Bernard.  Phelps's relay team won the 4x100 relay with Jason Lezak and out-touched Bernard.  However, Bernard won gold in the men's 50m (though I'm unsure about a world record there).

All were in the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics and they competed in several medleys/relays.

    Hope that answers your question.

  3. may be in swimming when Micheal Phelps won the 7th gold medal by fraction of second difference with his opponent.
