I have to make a presentation on the above topic.

Guidlines are. People vary in their attitudes towards their society, Some defend it, some run it, some are looking for something deeper and some want to leave it. Consumption patterns often reflect social attitude.

Isn't this more related to the social relationships of differing cultures? If so, I would list maybe 3 different cultures and reflect on the social interactions of each. End with contrast and compare.
