Help on writing a sociology paper?

i have to write it on prison reform but not sure what type of info i should use to talk about it help

well as far as reforming the prisons

I think they should be based more on the rehabilitation side again

Though it will be hard i think more should be done to try and help each individual person

most importantly prisons and jails need to get rid of everyone who is in there for drugs... they are taking up space for no reason.  Drug offenses need to be helped elsewhere.

If prisons and jails did that there would not be as many people incarcerated thus creating more time and availability to help those who have more serious issues (not saying drug abuse is not a serious issue, but incarceration is not the answer to that problem)

Maybe you could begin by examining re-incarceration rates and why that is happening and then what has been suggested to stop this problem?

your best bet is to think of what you would do to reform prisons.  What would you do to make it a "one time stay" rather than repeat offenders.  would you go for reform medically for the prisoners?  Give them better medical care?  

Think about 2-3 of these and then look up information on those specific reforms, rather than reforms in general.
