Well i'm workign at mcdonalds.. got hired.. I finally finished training as a cashier since yesturday.. But I think I did something wrong.. When people ordered meals, lets just use Big mac for example.. You EVM that big mac, and add fries.. I didn't EVM drink the drink they ordered...is that wrong.. I kinda forget. Don't we only EVM drink when the customer changes the drink into a drink that's cheaper then regular price $1.89? And isn't EVM drink only used with item promo? I kinda forgot?

Help i'm scared I did it wrong.. because I didn't press EVM drink..

Also what happens if someone orders a meal, and wants large fries instead of medium?

&& I'm doing morning shift for the first time next week... does the menu change? Cause i'm not familuar with mornings at mcdonalds.. never ate their breakfast in my entire life.. And what do I say if the customer asks whats in the ___ burger? =S cause honestly I don't know :( ?

  1. I think there must be some misunderstanding.  Is it possible to talk to the restaurant manager on this issue and clear your doubt?  Do not worry so much. Let's look forward.

  2. It sounds like this job is too 'technical' for you. Here is a thought -why not ask these questions to your trainer tomorrow before you start your shift and write down what he/she tells you. It's better to ask now than to mess up or have to ask once you're no longer new and then everyone will know you had been messing up for a long time.

  3. Just stay calm don't panic ok...and just ask another worker at mcdonold to help u....ok?

  4. I worked at mcdonalds a very long time ago and none of what you said is ringing any bells.

Just relax, Its normal to feel like you are doing something wrong when you start a new job. I remember I would stress over doing something wrong but it will get better. If you have questions just ask someone and write it down just in case. Keep the paper next to you by the register.

Don't worry you will do great once you get the hang of it.
