Question:

Help planning beach wedding?

So I spoke with FH last night, and we agreed that we want to get married on the beach in Jamaica this coming May! :-)

Ok, now what? How in the world do I plan this? I've never been to Jamaica and neither has he!

We don't have a big budget - trying to do this as cheaply as possible, while still keeping it fun and memorable.

I don't think we'll be having any guests join us. If we did (which I don't think we will) it would only be 2-3.

We want to write our own ceremony....

  1. Congratulations!! I would look up Sandals resorts. They do all inclusive wedding packages. Also, look up www.thebigday.com. Lots of good ideas! Good Luck!!

  2. Go to a travel agent and have them help you book at a resort.  Most resorts offer beach weddings and will help you handle the legalities.

  3. sandals resorts Weddingmoons.  Witha  6+ night stay you get a free wedding!  Or upgrade the package for more!  check thier website.  Their coorditantors are great and they take care of everything you want.

then you will be right there to start the honeymoon!

All inclusive so no extra fees too.

  4. The Sandals resort offers packages that have almost everything in them already...

I think Carnival Cruise also offers an island wedding and one of their ports of call is Jamaica (check their website: http://www.carnival.com/cms/fun/weddings... )

    Use this link for info

And remember: Google is you best friend

For more info, google Jamaica weddings, and start getting info, requirements and accomodations ASAP

  5. I would google weddings in jamaica.  You should be able to find all kinds of places that would perform your ceremony.  I did that when I planned my wedding for St. Thomas.  Im not sure if I would go to sandles or that kind of resort becase you are gonna be paying a lot per night just to stay in their resort and there are tons of other resorts in Jamaica to stay at.  I would look into all your options before choosing what to do.
