Hello,

I am going on a cruise to the Western Carribean and would like others oppinions on what the best excursions are. Our ports are Montego Bay, Jamaica, Grand Caymun, and Cozumel. Also, if anyone has been on Carnival Conquest would you give me information about your experience. I am leaving May 11th. Thank you for your help.

  1. You can find lots of feedback from experienced cruisers at CruiseCritic.com.  Click on "Boards", then "Ports of Call", then your ports.  For info about the ship, go to the "Carnival Cruise Lines" board.

    Have a great cruise!

  2. Check out the "ports of call" board on cruise critic for lots of ideas.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the cruise ship excursions. You pay extra and get herded like cattle.

That said, we've done Sting Ray City with Soto's in GC. Great reviews on CC and we were not disappointed. Have also taken the West End bus to Cemetery Beach. Easy, cheap, beautiful beach, and a good snorkel and swim location.

Have done Chankanaab and Paradise Beach in Coz. Both are a relatively cheap cab ride from port.  Chank is a government park that charges admission. The beach chairs are unbelieveably uncomfortable. Has the dolphin experience (extra $$$), but not comparable to a Discovery Cove experience. We like the experience at Paradise Beach a lot better. Free with a modest fee if you use the water toys. Good chairs, nice beach, decent bar.

MB offers a great opportunity to stay on the ship.
