Question:

Help playing slot machines?

Is there an actual strategy to use when playing slots? I kind of walk around aimlessly and hop on machines and start pulling. I have no idea what I am doing and how to win. Does anyone use some sort of system that can help? or is that pretty much the only way to do it.

  1. i just play max credits and win decently.  I do know that towards the end of the year, it seems the slots are a lot looser because the casino might have to pay out so much money for the year and they are trying to meet their quota.  that's what a dealer told us on the 28th of december.  and sure enough, this one group of machines was paying out like CRAZY!!!  we watched 13 people hit a $1000 pay out within an hour ($3 max bet)  then there was a line of people waiting to attack the machines as soon as someone would get up.  we tried but could never get on one.

i like to watch the old people and see what they are doing.  they really know their slots.  some even take their payout, then put in a different bill into the same machine

  2. Looser slots are found near to bar and dining areas.  the intent is to lure players out of the bar or restaurant with the sound of winning.

  3. Slots are completely random.  No system will help you.  Not playing max coins will hurt you on many games.  It's all luck and it's not in your favor.  It can be fun, but realize the thrill of winning a jackpot will later turn into the thud of putting your last dollar in the machine.  Only play with what you can afford to lose.  Because, maybe not today, but for sure in the future; you will lose.

  4. the true is answer, No .There is no strategy, the odds are way against you. I have wasted thousands of dollars that I should have not have gambled away! Sure I win jack pots but after all is said and done they win. It not worth the risk, find a different hobby.

  5. slot machines use random number generators there is no strategy its all in the luck of getting there at the right time

  6. I agree with playing max credits.  I play slots quite a bit.  I do really well.  I will share my strategy with you.  I play late at night.  I live in VA and go to DE or WVA.  I go on nights when they have promotions so there is a high volume of people so the machines will be full, so higher likely hood to pay off.  I stick to only putting in a certain amount of $ in a machine, if it doesn't pay off I leave.  I do not feed a ton of $ in one machine.  I watch for people who do put a lot of money in one machine--and then I do play it.  I've won a few jackpots.  I do hit random machines, put I look at the pays and look at the odds.  You just got to do the #s.  That is what I look at.  That is what it is all about.  There isn't really a system.  My strategy works for me.  I won decent amounts in the last year, since starting this new way of playing.  The most important thing is to set limits for yourself and not get carried away.  Good luck:)

  7. No.

If there were a real winning strategy (like for blackjack), the casinos would have already invented a counter-strategy.

The only thing is to play the max credits, because that's the only way to win the big jackpot.
