well, i bought some batteries this morning and I stupidly used self check out and forgot these batteries had to get the plastic protective case removed (I guess it was early) by the cashier person, as they went through security fine i did not check it..

How can I remove the protective case? I hit it with a hammer and it slightly cracked but not enough to remove the batteries, I dont want to have to trek back today to the shop again, is there any way to remove this case?

  1. What kind of casing can they possibly be in that you have to take a hammer to it or slam it in a doorway. I would have thought you would be able to cut enough of the packaging to remove the batteries using heavy duty household scissors.

  2. Well, if you have the self check receipt go back to the store.  Only way mate.

  3. Hit it again, careful you dont squash the batteries.

  4. Hmmmmm..something you not telling us love..all sounds a bit dodge!!!

  5. take it back to the store and they can easily remove it for you.

  6. either wrap it in a tea towel and then use the hammer OR place it in the hinge area of a door and slowly shut the door 'onto' the case . watch your eyes though as it will prob splinter . its a more controlled force with the door though as you will be able to see the case fracture and stop before it gets to the batteries .

  7. THIEF!

  8. what you need is  a screwdiver and hammer ..lol...what you been doing 0.- ....... try finding a spot away from the batteries and whack the driver should split it nicely fer ya .. not that I have ever tried this sort of thing
