  1. On second thought please do them yourself. You are hurting your understanding

  2. B^2 +5b+6

    = (b+3)(b+2)

    3bc

    =(3)(b)(c)

    b^2-9

    (b-3)(b+3)

    6bc

    =(3)(2)(b)(c)

    3/y=12/8

    = y=2

  3. 11/7

    write it correctly

    2

  4. 55 / 37 = 11 / 7

    [(b^2 + 5b + 6) / (3bc)] / [(b^2-9) / (6bc)]

    [(b^2 + 5b + 6) / (3bc)] * [(6bc) / ( b^2 - 9)]

    [(b + 3)(b + 2) / (3bc)] * [(6bc) / (b + 3)(b-3)]

    [(b + 2) / (1)] / [(2) / (b - 3)]

    (b+2)(2) / (b -3)

    (2b + 4) / (b - 3)

    3 / y = 12 / 8

    12y = 24

    y = 2

    These are simple algebra problems. The second problem is known as a complex fraction since it is a fraction over a fraction. All you have to do is just take the numerator of the complex fraction and multiply it by the opposite of the denominator.

  5. 11/7

    {(b+3)(b+2)/3bc}/{(b+3)(b-3)/6bc = 2(b+2)/(b-3)

    12y = 24; y = 2
