How does Louis Pasteur's work disproving a biogenesis reflect on the concept of evolution that life began from chemicals?

Louis Pasteur successfully proved that life does not just spontaneously emerge from non-life.  Flies don't just get born out of stale meat; they're born from other flies.  Since life doesn't come from non-life, then life didn't come from chemicals.
