  1. seal all cracks in your home and learn to love nature.  it's their home, too.

  2. I have heard mothballs will keep snakes away.

  3. Snake skins mean snakes are there. .. and somewhat comfortable, since shedding is a vulnerable time.

Try to find way to limit their access to your house ... holes in the foundation, broken windows, etc.

Also, be sure that you children know to check for them ... you can avoid bites by not "sneaking" up on them accidently.

If one was bold enough to try to break in the front door ... hw realised that this was an entrance point that he used before, and bold snakes are usually protecting young or eggs if they are not scared into aggression.

Dogs or cats will help scare them off ... provided that they are big enough not to be dinner.

  4. buy some cats and put outside.. they are good snake killers......I had a dog once that was also........other than that make your yard cleaner as in get rid of overcrowded bushes and debris and you can always spread out some sulfur..

  5. I did not have moccasins but I did have snakes and mothballs I put out around my backdoor and I also spread sulfur around the house and yard. I have not had a problem with snakes since. I too was finding skin sheddings but in my flower bed by the house. I had one coming in for the heat from my dryer but moth balls and sulfur worked for me.
