Help please! Ticket for throwing cigarette butt out my window in pasadena, california

I just received a littering ticket for throwing my cigarette butt out the window in Pasadena, California. I was wondering if anyone can advise me what i should go about with this...this is my first time doing a foolish thing like this i usually use my ash tray, how much would the fine cost? and would it be needed to make a court apperance? thank you!

I love california .. It becomming n**i California .. Pretty soon you cannot even sneeze without a fine. BUNCH OF F&*& idiot that complain way too much
