I would just forget the beard. Just shave it all off.

Beards make guys look old.

Also, if they are not trimmed or have other things wrong with them, besides looking old, it makes them look unkept.

Your beard pattern is hereditary. If you are like most, the area around the mouth will grow in thickest and heaviest. The area out on your cheeks wil be the last to fully fill in and this may not occur until you are in your late 20's. I assume that you shave so no one will be any the wiser unless you get the urge to have a full beard.

Having your beard shaved off gives the illusion of looking young for a longer period of time. As you get gray hair in your beard, you will be glad you shave.
