  1. Hi These remote control light switches are great. They also do away for the need for 2 way switches so less switches in the room. you just program each light  to a number on the remote control.

Something to note though ,if the spot lights are low voltage you may need to buy a different (Dimmerble) transformer, if they are 220 volts there is no problem,

You can buy the switches and remotes here

If you need any help they have a very good customer service

  2. Tell this so called pro to call the supply house and order the right stuff for the job.

don't try and modify something to save a couple of cases of soda pop or you may end up with a terrible problem.

  3. Yup, 2-gang two way for the spot & side lights.

plus the adjacent remote dimmer for the centre light. Make sure that you are able to dim the light fitting first though.

Or you can have 3-gang remotes too. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...

  4. You can switch these lights on any way you want. If you want a combination of ways you can turn on your lights, then it will cost you more. You could have a 1 gang 1 way for the spot lights over your bed and a 2 gang 2 way for the othger lights.

Or even 3, 1 gang 1 way switches. The more you have, the more it will cost you.

  5. If your sparky is asking you to supply/get parts for your installation, then I would suggest that you get a more professionally qualified electrician!!

  6. That's odd as under new regulations the electrician should provide the switch based on what YOU tell the electrician you want to do!

the remote light still needs a 1 gang 2 way switch box to be fitted by electrician so he should still get the switches for you unless you use non-standard decor switches when he should tell you exactly what he needs!
