Help please! problem with digital camcorder compatibility...?

I have a Sony digital 8 trv840... I want to upload videos to my computer... I have windows vista... and they are not compatible.. I have done everything that I know possible... I bought a firewire before I knew I didn't have the port and I just bought a USB and now it's saying the camera isn't compatible.... is there any other options? please help!

You'll need to capture the video via firewire rather than USB - since your PC hasn't already got one you'll need to install a firewire card. They're cheap, easy to install and readily available.
