My High School classes next year are:

AP Biology

AP European History

English 2 Honors

PreCalculus

Spanish 3 Honors

I have one question. Do you think i can pull off self-studying AP Human Geography and AP World History. I plan on studying them throughout the year. I plan on taking the AP test for them and also the ones i am taking throughout the school year. I plan on getting 4's or 5's. Do yout think i can handle it? Any tips on how to possibly retain all the information for those 4 classes. So do you suggest i do it or not? Im barely going to be a sophmore.

  1. In a lot of ways, it really depends on you.  If you have had AP classes before and you think you can do it, then you might want to try it, but I would advise against it.

Colleges are going to be more interested in you taking a hard course load and doing extracurricular than taking every class that you possibly can.

If your English and Euro classes are done right you will have 20 or so pages of reading a night plus the Biology work.

In terms of looking good for college you would be in better shape to go ahead and get really involved with one or two extracurricular activities and do a lot with them.

I'd also advise taking your SAT some time this year because it appears you have Algebra II knocked out and you'll be fresh on the sort of math that is on the SAT.  Plus, if you have weak spots you can shore them up.

  2. But the classes in order by what is the easiest/or the class that does less work. that way if you forgot to do something on an essay or something like that you have time to do it before you turn it in

  3. ap human you can definitely teach yourself if you are willing to put time into it.
