Ok,im buying a new computer and im REALLY unsure on what one to get.I would like it to have vistaon it..And i probably will downgrade it down to XP i just wanna se what its like.

I'll pay the maximum £250 for the computer BASE. Like the computer without the moniter.

Anyone recomend one?

is 160 gb good?

  1. 160 gb is more then enough storage space unless you work with movies of animation (which I doubt)

    as far as brands the only thing I can recommend is to stay away from HP's dv2000, dv 6000 and dv9000 series all of which have serious design flaws, personally I would look for something from dell. They should be able to find you something good within your price range.


  2. 160GB is good enough memory, but you gonna have to give more details, like the RAM, and whether it has a dvd reader/writer, graphics card, sound, etc...then only will we be able to tell you weather its worth it. £250 is alot.

    Oh and DONT get vista, it has alot of faults, everyone complained...stick with XP, still the best and just wait until the new windows gets launched...it looks pretty cool!
