  2. 1)    -5a - 10b + 30

    2)    -15x  +  10

  3. 1. distributive property

    -5(a+2b-6)

    -5a-10b+30

    2. distributive property

    (x-2y+7)3

    3x-6y=21

    3. distributive property

    (3x-2)(-5)

    -15x+10

take each outer number and multiply it with the ones on the inside separately.

  4. Distribute the -5 to everything in the first set of parentheses to get:

    -5a-10b+30

The second one, you distribute the 3 in the same way, multiplying it by everything in the parentheses to get 3x-6y+21

For the third, you would have to multiply the -5 by everything in the parentheses to get -15x+10
