ok...... im 5"4 - 5"5 and i wanna know how to increase my verticle jump for basketball i can allready jump high for my height but i want to get around a 40 inch!!! verticle. plz no links to websites that you can buy guides from only websites that tell you how or your own thoughts thanks alot

i would like to be able to dunk a 10ft rim but i will settle for dunking on a 9 - 8"5 ft rim thanks guys...

  1. You got several options. You can buy special verticle jump shoes but they cost a lot and dont help that well. You can get ankle weights but they are not very effective and can mess up your legs if you wear them often. The best thing you can do to increase you jump is to work out your calf mucsle. Work it out every day or two by using dumbells-(Calf raisers) The more weight, the more your leap length will increase.  You can do this excercise in multiple ways. Feet parallel, toes out(Clock=10 and 2) and toes in.

  3. dude, you need to work EXTRA hard !

    the best way to increase youre vertical is to do squats and work youre calf muscles. hope it helps.

  4. I would work on everything besides dunking with your height... So what if you're going to be able to dunk...On average there's 7 dunks per nba game.

    I'd work on your ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defense...everything. Getting stronger would also be better too.

    Sure a few inches to your jump will help you but 40? You could use your time more wisely.
